Recent Measles Outbreak

Per DOH guidelines, it is recommended any infants 6-11 months of age traveling by air should receive an MMR vaccine. This is an extra dose and they will still require 2 doses before kindergarten.

Those patients born between 1957 and 1971 have the option to request bloodwork to check immune status to measles. We are not able to guarantee coverage and recommend you check with your insurance company.

Tdap Vaccines

There is much confusion regarding need for Tdap boosters especially in families with newborn infants. Per CDC: Adults are only recommended to receive a single dose of Tdap. There is NO recommendation for boosters. A Td booster is recommended every 10 years. Pregnant individuals should receive Tdap during each pregnancy during gestation weeks 27 through 36.
